The Australia & New Zealand tests are the strictest in the world due to our unique climate. Nutrimetics Sun days SPF 50+ Sunscreen Lotion was tested in a leading Australian testing lab to comply with SPF 50+ standards.
In accordance with TGA rules, Sun Days sunscreen is:
1. Made in a TGA accredited manufacturing facility.
2. All product claims and directions are directed by TGA sunscreen regulation.
3. The sunscreen actives are tested throughout the shelf life of the product to meet the levels listed on the label.
Did you know?
SPF50 locks out 98% of UV rays. SPF50+ The plus sign means that the SPF is significantly higher than 50. To qualify, the test result must be 60 or higher. Both Sun Days and Smart Shield PLUS meet these requirements.
Sunscreen every day
Remember these nine top tips to ensure effectiveness of Sun Days Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+.
1. You can burn in shade
Apply SPF every day, all year-round and even in cloudy weather. Take precautions and carry Sun Days everywhere.
2. More is more
There’s a good chance you’re not applying enough. Adults use about a teaspoon (5 squirts for lotion) for the face, neck and ears, a teaspoon for each arm and leg, a teaspoon for the front and back of the body. Reduce this amount very slightly for kids.
3. Don’t miss a spot
Remember to apply to eyes, scalp, lips, hands and feet.
4. The 20 minute rule
Heading outside? Apply 20 minutes beforehand so it has more time to absorb and bind to skin.
5. Re-apply after two hours
Or after swimming, exercising, working or playing outdoors. Be especially vigilant particularly if you’re at the beach, park or in any direct sunlight.
6. Avoid Peak Hours
The sun’s UV rays are the strongest between 10AM and 4PM. Limit direct exposure during this time if you can.
7. Look for shade
Sit under a tree or bring an umbrella or tent to the beach or park. You should still wear sunscreen even if you’re in a shaded spot.
8. Look out for the UV Index.
You can usually find the UV index indicated in your weather report.
9. Layer up
When UV levels are three or above, Sun Days should always be used with other forms of sun protection such as protective clothing, a hat and sunglasses.
